I am honoured to announce LatinDisplay 2009 to be held in São Paulo, SP, Brazil, from November 16th to 19th, 2009.

This conference proposes to provide the participants with greater opportunities to experience and discuss state-of-the-art displays and related technologies, such as tablets, touch screens, solar cells, lighting, organic electronics, batteries and nanotechnology.

LatinDisplay 2009 is an event of the Latin American Chapter of the Society for Information Display (LTN SID Chapter), of the Brazilian Network for Displays (Rede BrDisplay) and of the Ibero-American Network for Displays (Latin American Display Network).

LatinDisplay 2009 is organized by:

• Centro de Tecnologia da Informação Renato Archer (CTI)
• Pontifícia Universidade Católica de S. Paulo

During LatinDisplay 2009, coordinating meetings of the Networks (BrDisplay and Latin American Networks) and of the LTN SID Chapter will be held to discuss their activities for the near future.

The Organizing Committee and the Program Committee are doing their best to make LatinDisplay 2009 a successful and rewarding conference for all participants.
